Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning for thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds across most states, effective until 11 am today. The affected regions are experiencing severe weather conditions that could potentially disrupt daily activities and pose safety concerns for residents.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the areas impacted by this weather alert include parts of Kedah, specifically Yan, Pendang, Kuala Muda, and Sik. Several areas in Penang are also affected, including the southwest and northwest regions of Penang Island and north Seberang Perai.
In addition, Perak will experience similar conditions in regions such as Kerian, Larut, Matang and Selama, Manjung, Perak Tengah, Bagan Datuk, and Hilir Perak. The warning extends to various parts of Selangor, including Sabak Bernam, Kuala Selangor, Hulu Selangor, Klang, Gombak, Petaling, Kuala Langat, and Sepang.
The Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya are also under alert, alongside regions in Negeri Sembilan such as Seremban, Port Dickson, and Rembau. Other areas facing adverse weather include Melaka, Johor’s Tangkak, and Sabah, specifically Tawau and Semporna.
Residents in these regions are advised to stay vigilant and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety during the adverse weather conditions.
