Kuala Lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) today issued a warning for thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds affecting nine states and the Federal Territory of Labuan.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the warning encompasses several regions including Penang, Perlis, and Kedah, specifically Langkawi, Kubang Pasu, Kota Setar, Pokok Sena, Yan, Pendang, Kuala Muda, Kulim, and Bandar Baharu. The alert highlights the possibility of adverse weather conditions impacting these areas.
The weather warning also extends to additional regions such as Bera and Rompin in Pahang, Hulu Langat in Selangor, as well as Negeri Sembilan and Melaka. In Johor, areas including Tangkak, Segamat, and Muar are anticipated to experience similar weather disturbances.
Furthermore, MetMalaysia’s warning covers Labuan and certain parts of Sabah, with a focus on interior areas like Tenom, Kuala Penyu, Beaufort, Nabawan, and Keningau, alongside the west coast region including Papar.
