According to BERNAMA News Agency, today’s win sees THT celebrating their seventh MHL title, having previously won in the 2014, 2015, 2016, 2018, 2022, and 2023 editions. The previous year, the League crown was secured by Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB).
In the highly anticipated match between THT and Territory Stingers, Faizal Saari emerged as the star player for the Terengganu side, scoring all four goals in the 14th, 24th, 32nd, and 33rd minutes. This victory marked their ninth consecutive win in the series.
Head coach Mohd Harfizi Baharom expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance, emphasizing their mental and physical preparedness. He noted that the match provided an opportunity to overcome last season’s setback when they lost the league title to TNB. The coach highlighted t
he players’ ability to seize opportunities and their commitment to regaining the league title.
As THT looks forward to the TNB Cup next week, the league victory serves as a confidence booster. The team also clinched the 2025 Charity Shield earlier, defeating TNB, who had achieved a treble last season by winning the Charity Shield, TNB Cup, and League title.
