Jasin: Three tour bus passengers, including a tour guide, were injured after the bus veered off the left side of the road before overturning at Kilometre 177.6 of the North-South Expressway (northbound) here this morning.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Jasin district police chief Supt Lee Robert stated that those injured included a 59-year-old local man who was a tour guide, a 62-year-old Singaporean, and a 42-year-old British national. The incident occurred as the tour bus was on its journey from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur.
Police received information about the accident at around 5 am today. Initial investigations revealed that the bus was carrying 12 people, including the bus driver and the tour guide. As the bus approached the accident site, a lorry ahead had slowed down, prompting the bus driver to attempt avoiding a collision. In doing so, the bus veered off the left side of the road.
The three injured victims sustained injuries to their heads and legs and were subsequently taken to Jasin Hospital for treatment.
