Ipoh: Police arrested three individuals, including a woman, yesterday for their alleged involvement in the theft of production materials from a factory in the Pulai Jaya Industrial Area near here.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Ipoh district police chief ACP Muhammad Najib Hamzah stated that police had received a report on the theft of high-value production materials from the factory, with about 64 rolls reported missing and losses estimated at RM355,000. "Police subsequently arrested three company employees, aged between 28 and 35, to assist in the investigation," he said when met at the PDRM Dinner with Media Practitioners last night.

Muhammad Najib mentioned that police had also identified another individual believed to be linked to the case. He added that police believed company employees or operators were involved in the theft, while investigations were still ongoing to determine when the incident occurred and the actual losses incurred.

"We believe the employee was involved in removing the valuable stock and worked in the computer component production section. The investigation is still ongoing to determine the actual losses and the role of each individual involved," he said.

Muhammad Najib stated that all the suspects would be brought to court to seek a remand order and added that the case was being investigated under Section 381 of the Penal Code.
