Three Dead, Five Injured in Sri Aman Vehicle Collision

Sri aman: Three people were killed and five others injured in an accident involving two vehicles near Kampung Selepong Jinggau, Sri Aman, at about 8.30 am this morning.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) stated that the accident involved a Proton X70 and a Perodua Alza, with the latter being completely burnt. The three victims in the Proton X70, comprising a 70-year-old man and two women, each aged 22, were confirmed dead at the scene by the medical team.

Two other passengers in the Proton X70, a six-year-old boy and a four-year-old boy, sustained head injuries and were transported to the Sri Aman Hospital for further treatment. The bodies of the deceased have been handed over to the police for further action.

Meanwhile, three victims in the Perodua Alza, consisting of an adult woman and two boys, managed to escape with minor injuries before the vehicle burst into flames. They were taken to the hospital for treatment.
