Third Sentuhan Madani Kiosk to Open at One Utama in April

Petaling Jaya: The Sentuhan MADANI Kiosk initiative is set to expand with the launch of a third kiosk at One Utama Shopping Centre in April, announced Transport Minister Anthony Loke. He highlighted the strategic selection of the popular shopping centre to facilitate public access to government services.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the initiative has been well-received, prompting interest from several ministers, MPs, and corporate entities in replicating it in their own regions. The new kiosk at One Utama will follow successful launches at Putrajaya and KL Sentral, offering over 100 government services from six major agencies, including the Road Transport Department (JPJ) and Pos Malaysia.

The Sentuhan MADANI Kiosk initiative is a part of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s Budget 2025, aiming to enhance digitalisation and accessibility of government services. The KL Sentral launch included a helmet exchange program by JPJ and bubur lambuk distribution by MRCB, KL Sentral’s main developer.

In response to a wall panel collapse at Masjid Jamek Station, Loke assured continuous maintenance for public safety. Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd confirmed no casualties or major damage from the incident, which occurred during heavy rain.

Additionally, Loke addressed concerns about wildlife smuggling at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) has been directed to improve monitoring and baggage screening processes. This follows revelations by Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Minister Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad regarding KLIA’s role as a transit point for smuggling wildlife parts.
