TH Wins Two Prestigious Property Management Awards

Kuala lumpur: Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) has won two prestigious awards for its flagship properties, Menara TH Tun Razak and Menara Bank Islam, reflecting its commitment to sustainable asset management.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Menara TH Tun Razak won the Non-Strata Office Building category, while Menara Bank Islam was named the winner in the Single Owned Office Building in a Mixed Strata Development category at The Edge Malaysia Best Managed and Sustainable Property Awards (BMSPA) 2026.

In a statement today, TH said the awards recognised its continued efforts to manage and enhance its property assets professionally, sustainably, and innovatively, in line with best governance practices and its commitment to long-term value creation. TH chairman Tan Sri Abdul Rashid Hussain stated that the recognition reflected the organisation's commitment to managing its assets with professionalism, integrity, and sustainability while ensuring they continued to generate value for its more than 9.8 million depositors.

Abdul Rashid emphasized that the awards recognize not only excellence in building management but also TH's commitment to upholding the highest standards in all its endeavors. As an institution responsible for managing the savings of the Muslim community, TH must ensure its assets continue to benefit depositors, the community, and the nation over the long term. He also highlighted TH's ability to integrate sound asset management with modern technology, digitalisation, and sustainable practices in line with leading industry standards.

The recognition further strengthens TH's commitment to enhancing asset management based on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles. TH will continue leveraging technology and innovation to ensure its strategic assets remain competitive while creating sustainable value for depositors. Abdul Rashid also expressed gratitude to the TH Group workforce for their dedication and commitment to managing the organisation's assets to the highest standards, resulting in industry-wide recognition.

Designed by renowned architect Hijjas Kasturi, Menara TH Tun Razak has been a Kuala Lumpur landmark since 1985 and continues to be upgraded under its Five-Year Asset Management Plan. Improvements include upgraded facilities, a cashless parking system with automatic vehicle number plate recognition, enhanced safety and accessibility features, and the planned installation of a solar energy system.

Menara Bank Islam has also maintained high standards in facilities management through proactive maintenance, condition-based monitoring, and the i-MANS computerised maintenance management system, improving operational efficiency, response times, and asset optimisation. Both buildings are managed by TH Properties Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of TH.

TH said the integrated approach has ensured the reliability of critical building systems, including domestic water supply, lifts, and fire protection systems, while reducing energy consumption by 6.6 per cent against the adjusted energy baseline through building automation, optimised air-conditioning operations, and the use of energy-efficient lighting.
