Makkah:<Text>

Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Dr. Zulkifli Hasan announced that the Masyair Cleanliness campaign, first implemented in 2017 among Malaysian haj pilgrims, will see further strengthening during this year's haj season to foster a comprehensive culture of cleanliness.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the campaign is designed not only to keep accommodation areas and places of worship clean but also to instill a lifestyle that embodies the spirit of being duyufurrahman, or guests of Allah. Dr. Zulkifli expressed satisfaction with the Malaysian haj pilgrims' commitment to maintaining cleanliness and highlighted the importance of reinforcing these efforts. He emphasized the need to embrace the culture of cleanliness, which includes maintaining cleanliness, avoiding wastefulness, and practicing moderation.

Dr. Zulkifli made these remarks after officiating the Makkah Haj Pilgrims' Accommodation Building Cleanliness progr amme and the Masyair Cleanliness campaign for the 2026 haj season. He noted that the programme underscores the ongoing dedication of Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) to prioritize the welfare, comfort, and well-being of pilgrims, particularly concerning cleanliness, health, and a conducive environment during their stay in the Holy Land.

Additionally, Dr. Zulkifli stated that the initiative aligns with Saudi Arabia's aspirations to improve cleanliness standards and environmental management in the Holy Land as part of Saudi Vision 2030.
