Kuala lumpur: Tabung Haji (TH) has announced its complete readiness for the 1447H/2026M haj season, with all critical elements thoroughly organized ahead of the inaugural flight to the Holy Land this Saturday.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the deputy director for 1447H haj operations, Mohd Norber Kassim, stated that only minor adjustments might be necessary if new changes occur. He emphasized the extensive preparation, noting that the planning for this year's operations involves eight TH stations across the nation, including the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) as the main hub and seven additional outstations.
Mohd Norber highlighted that all preparations were finalized during the haj operations meeting, ensuring a seamless process each season. During this meeting, TH collaborated with relevant agencies at each station to facilitate smooth pilgrim departures.
Malaysia's first haj flight is set for this Saturday, with check-in beginning at 10 pm on Friday. The flight will transport 284 pilgrims to the Holy Land on Malaysia Airlines, following the established schedule and plans.
TH is focusing on the health of pilgrims as a crucial aspect of the pilgrimage. Comprehensive arrangements have been made for haj activities, including packages, flights, courses, visas, passports, and coordination. All necessary details have been communicated to prospective pilgrims.
Additionally, TH has provided extensive training and guidance to haj staff, ensuring that officers are available to assist and guide pilgrims throughout their journey to the Holy Land and upon their return. Media reports indicate that 141 haj staff from TH and the Health Ministry traveled to Saudi Arabia on April 11, with 107 more departing today to prepare for operations ahead of 31,600 Malaysian pilgrims.
