Terengganu PMR 2025 Launches at Pasar Kedai Payang Compound

Kuala terengganu: The Terengganu MADANI Rakyat Programme (PMR) 2025 begins today at the Pasar Kedai Payang compound, showcasing the federal government’s commitment to enhancing public welfare through an inclusive approach.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the three-day programme themed Pembangunan MADANI Rakyat Sejahtera is organized by the Prime Minister’s Office, through the Performance Acceleration and Coordination Unit. It is in strategic collaboration with the Ministry of Works and the Implementation Coordination Unit, Prime Minister’s Department. The event, which operates from 9 am to 10 pm on Thursday and Friday, and 9 am to 6 pm on Saturday, aims to attract 25,000 visitors with a range of activities and services.

Key features include 24 government service booths, MADANI Sales offering 10 to 30 percent discounts on necessities, free helmet replacements by the Road Transport Department, and a 50 percent discount on traffic summonses by the Royal Malaysia Police. A Career Carnival presents over 500 job opportunities, with participation from both government and private sectors. Additionally, a JuniorSkills drone competition will take place, offering prizes across various educational categories.

Terengganu PMR also emphasizes local culture through the Karnival Candat Sotong, highlighting the heritage of sea activities. Cultural demonstrations, batik painting, and various leisure events such as Explore Race Pasar Payang and Fun Run are also part of the program.

Incorporating spiritual elements, activities like Terengganu Bermunajat and a majlis tahlil and doa selamat for the victims of a recent bus accident will be held. The PMR series, after its stop in Terengganu, will move to other locations including Lumut, Kota Lama, Nilai, Baling, Jasin, and Bintulu.

The closing ceremony, scheduled for Saturday, will be officiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and is expected to feature top government officials.
