Kuala lumpur: Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) president Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz has congratulated national women’s doubles pair Pearly Tan-M.Thinaah after they emerged champions of the Japan Masters 2025 in Kumamoto today.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Tengku Zafrul stated that winning their third Badminton World Federation (BWF) World Tour title of the season was the result of the duo’s hard work and consistency. He expressed his congratulations on his official Facebook account, highlighting the significance of their victory at the Japan Masters as a major success. This win adds to their impressive achievements at the Thailand Open and Arctic Open earlier in the year, showcasing their consistent performance and bringing pride to Malaysia.
Earlier, the world No. 2 pair demonstrated their prowess on the international stage by defeating the home pair Rin Iwanaga-Kie Nakanishi with scores of 22-20, 21-19 in a match lasting 54 minutes. The victory not only earned them the prestigious tit
le but also a prize money of USD37,525 (RM155,190).
