Kota kinabalu: Tengku Mahkota Pahang, Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, arrived in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah at 1.40 pm today to lead the Mahkota Borneo Expedition scheduled from today until Wednesday.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Sabah Youth Development, Sports and Creative Economy Minister Datuk Nizam Abu Bakar Titingan greeted Tengku Hassanal upon his arrival at Kota Kinabalu International Airport 2 (KKIA2). Tengku Hassanal is also scheduled to meet Yang Dipertua Negeri Sabah Tun Musa Aman at Istana Seri Kinabalu and is expected to leave for Kundasang at about 3 pm.

Tengku Hassanal has invited Sabahans who wish to meet him to wait along the route he will take to Kundasang. His Highness will climb Mount Kinabalu tomorrow, escorted by Royal Malaysian Air Force special team officers and personnel, as well as his personal escort from the Royal Malaysia Police.
