Kuala lumpur: Tellus Power Global Holding Limited (Tellus Power): Tellus Power, a deep technology company, has launched Tellus Energy AI, a purpose-built artificial intelligence (AI) model designed to coordinate energy supply and computing workloads for AI operators, data centers, and energy companies.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the company stated that the model is designed to match AI computing workloads with real-time electricity availability and pricing, while enabling distributed charging and storage assets to respond to grid demand and market signals. Tellus Power Chief Executive Officer, Mike Calise, emphasized the rapid growth of AI being increasingly constrained by access to affordable and reliable electricity, highlighting that Tellus Energy AI was developed to improve energy efficiency, resilience, and power availability for AI infrastructure.
Tellus Energy AI boasts capabilities such as real-time electricity price tracking, power-load forecasting, energy decision support, grid coordination, and an open agent platform that allows customers to build custom AI applications using Tellus Power's published application programming interfaces (APIs).
Tellus Power explained that the new model is part of a broader integrated energy and AI computing strategy built on four components: a vehicle-to-grid (V2G)-based virtual power plant, a wide-area charging network, liquid-cooled high-density compute clusters, and an advanced energy management platform. These systems are intended to support applications including coordinated compute-and-power dispatch, V2G site operations, power-trading decision support, and green-compute traceability.
In its initial deployments, Tellus Power is targeting electricity cost reductions of 20 per cent to 40 per cent compared with unoptimized operations, data-center power usage effectiveness (PUE) below 1.1, and additional ancillary-service revenue of up to 40 per cent. The company is also offering related energy management tools and deployment options for AI operators, data centers, and energy companies seeking to integrate the platform into their operations.
Tellus Power announced plans to expand its distributed green-compute network to more than one gigawatt over the next three to five years as part of its longer-term "energy + compute + AI" growth strategy.
