Kota tinggi: A 15-year-old boy was killed, while two others sustained injuries in a two-motorcycle crash at the Taman Anggerik junction here last night. Kota Tinggi district police chief Supt Yusof Othman said police received a report on the incident involving a Yamaha Ego Scooter and a Kawasaki KR150 motorcycle at about 9.05 pm.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the victim, who was riding pillion on the scooter, suffered serious head and body injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by an assistant medical officer. The two motorcyclists, aged 15 and 26, sustained injuries and are receiving treatment at Kluang Hospital.

The body had been taken to the Kota Tinggi Hospital Forensic Unit for the necessary procedures and the case was being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. Members of the public with information on the accident are urged to come forward and contact the traffic division of the district police headquarters to assist in the investigation.
