Tanjong Karang: A 16-year-old boy sustained second-degree burns in a fire that engulfed four two-storey terraced houses in Taman Seri Tiram, Tanjong Karang today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Selangor Fire and Rescue Department Operations Division assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mokhtar stated that 16 firefighters were dispatched to the location following a distress call received at 11.36 am.

Upon their arrival, it was discovered that the fire involved four class A two-storey terraced houses. Two of the houses were 50 percent burned, while the other two were 30 percent burned. Ahmad Mukhlis reported that the injured boy suffered burns on his hand and was subsequently handed over to the Ministry of Health for further treatment.
