Teenage Boy Feared Drowned After Harvesting Machine Overturns in River

Kampung sanglang: A teenage boy is feared to have drowned after the harvesting machine he was on, along with three friends, overturned in a river near Jitra today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Kedah Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Operations Centre reported that two of the teenagers managed to save themselves, while another was rescued by the Jitra Fire and Rescue Department (BBP). The incident was reported to JBPM at approximately 3.40 pm, indicating that a machine had fallen into the river involving four victims, with one feared drowned.

The search and rescue operations are currently underway, and updates regarding the situation will be shared as they become available. Meanwhile, Kubang Pasu district police chief Supt Radzi Abdul Rahim confirmed the incident, stating that one victim remains missing and the identities of all those involved have not yet been established.
