Kuala lumpur: Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Keluarga Bhd’s net profit narrowed to RM83.82 million in the second quarter ended June 30, 2025 (2Q 2025) from RM93.10 million in 2Q 2024.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, revenue rose to RM1.01 billion from RM998.07 million previously, mainly contributed by the Family Takaful business, as filed with Bursa Malaysia today. Takaful Malaysia anticipates steady demand for takaful and insurance due to an ongoing protection gap.

The company stated that its core businesses in Bancatakaful, Treasury, Employee Benefits, and General Takaful are crucial to its leadership in the industry, with continued strong demand in these areas. During the first half of the financial year 2025 (1H2025), the company’s net profit decreased to RM178.36 million from RM195.40 million in 1H2024, while revenue increased to RM2.14 billion from RM1.96 billion previously.

Group chief executive officer Nor Azman Zainal mentioned that with the company’s strengthened core businesses, it is well-positioned to handle the rest of the year effectively. The company’s strategy remains anchored in customer-centric innovation, digital enablement, and the integration of environmental, social, and governance principles, aiming to deliver long-term value to stakeholders and contribute to Malaysia’s socio-economic progress and environmental stewardship.
