Kuala Lumpur: Takaful Ikhlas Family Berhad (Takaful IKHLAS), a subsidiary of MNRB Holdings Berhad, today launched the IKHLAS Lestari supplementary plan, aimed at providing opportunities for the public to contribute to community development in a sustainable and syariah-compliant manner.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Takaful IKHLAS president and chief executive officer Wan Ahmad Najib Wan Ahmad Lotfi stated that IKHLAS Lestari is part of the IKHLAS Barakah House (IBH) initiative, which is a syariah-compliant fundraising platform supporting Value-Based Intermediation for Takaful (VBiT).
IKHLAS Lestari was introduced to address social challenges and environmental issues, as well as to promote sustainable practices. For a contribution of as little as RM10 per month, the public can join Takaful IKHLAS and IBH to contribute towards inclusive and sustainable social development, as highlighted by Wan Ahmad Najib during the launch event at IKHLAS Point, Bangsar.
Present at the launch were Takaful IKHLAS chairman Datuk Johar Che Mat, Takaful Ikhlas General Berhad president and chief executive officer Datuk Rudy Rodzila Che Lamin, and National Cancer Council (MAKNA) Head of Service Division Imelda Suhanti Ishak.
Wan Ahmad Najib explained that the funds collected through this plan will be directed to five main areas: education, economy, community, health, and environment. By participating in IKHLAS Lestari, individuals can contribute to IBH and social sustainability initiatives while benefiting from takaful protection through the basic protection plan.
To enhance IKHLAS Lestari promotional activities in the community, Takaful IKHLAS established the Lestari Squad, consisting of employees and agency members. At the event, Takaful IKHLAS also made a contribution of RM10,000 to MAKNA.
