According to BERNAMA News Agency, the 27-year-old demonstrated exceptional consistency across three races. He finished as the runner-up in the first two races and secured a pole-position finish in the final race, accumulating a total of 36 points to claim the title.
Taj Izrin Aiman's victory marked a significant achievement for Malaysia, following national karate exponent Adeola Fay Robert's earlier gold-medal win. His performance ended Malaysia's wait for a second gold at the Games.
The Malaysian e-sports squad is also on the cusp of further success. They have advanced to the semi-finals of the e-football event and are set to compete against Uzbekistan. The final is scheduled to take place later tonight.
