Support PKR Election Allegations With Evidence, Not Sentiment – Amirudin

Kuala Lumpur: All allegations regarding the PKR election process, whether at the division or central leadership level, must be supported with evidence and not based on sentiment-driven arguments, said PKR vice-president Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari. He emphasized that the Central Election Committee (JPP) had done its best to ensure that the leadership election for the 2025-2028 term is conducted fairly and transparently.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Amirudin stated that the JPP had already conducted re-elections in several divisions where irregularities were found, demonstrating the committee’s commitment to fairness. Nevertheless, allegations continue from those dissatisfied with the process. A comprehensive report and audit of the division-level elections have been presented to the central leadership.

In a separate development, Kelantan state PKR chairman Datuk Seri Mohamad Suparadi Md Noor urged party members to maintain maturity and avoid creating discord among leaders. He emphasized the importance of
supporting capable leaders to drive the party forward, especially during state or national elections, expressing confidence in PKR members’ ability to choose qualified leaders.

The central leadership elections are set for May 23, running from 8 am to 5 pm, with both physical and online voting methods. Physical voting for delegates will occur at Berjaya Waterfront Hotel and Danga Bay Convention Centre in Johor Bahru, while in Sabah and Sarawak, it will be held at the International Technology and Commercial Centre (ITCC) in Penampang and the Penview Convention Centre in Kuching. Regular and additional delegates will vote online via the ADIL app.

The PKR National Congress, including the AMK and Women’s Congresses, is scheduled from May 22 to 24 in Johor Bahru.
