Super League Clash Ends in Draw as NSFC Shows Improvement

Paroi: Negeri Sembilan FC (NSFC) Interim head coach K. Rajan said his team has shown improvement in the last two matches despite missing out on a chance to win after conceding in the final minute of the match last night.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Rajan remarked that overall the team displayed a good performance by creating many scoring opportunities, but the failure to convert those opportunities gave the opposition room to recover. "We played well and created many chances but failed to convert them into goals. Compared to the previous match, I think our game has improved, especially in defence," Rajan commented.

He expressed these thoughts to reporters after the match, which saw Jang Squad earn a point after being tied with Penang FC 3-3 at the Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium in Paroi. In the match, the visiting team earned a penalty kick at the end of the game, successfully converted by Stefano Brundo, thus extinguishing NSFC's hopes of winning.

With the result, NSFC remains in seventh place with 19 points while Penang FC is in eighth position with the same number of points. Meanwhile, Penang FC head coach Wan Rohaimi Wan Ismail praised the fighting spirit of his players who did not give up until the last minute to at least secure a point in the match.

Wan Rohaimi stated, "A little negligence caused us to be punished with two goals from NSFC...to win, especially playing away, it is not easy. When we are ahead, the players need to maintain that advantage and control the game." He emphasized the importance of the remaining six matches for Penang FC to improve their position in the table, expressing a mix of disappointment and gratitude for the draw.
