Paroi: Negeri Sembilan FC (NSFC) salvaged a point after Muhammad Akhyar Abdul Rashid's stoppage-time equaliser secured a 2-2 draw against Star City FC in their Super League match at Stadium Tuanku Abdul Rahman here today. Muhammad Akhyar emerged as the home side's hero after netting deep into second-half stoppage time to rescue the Hobin Jang Hobin squad from defeat and deny Star City FC all three points.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the visitors broke the deadlock in the 38th minute when Pedro Henrique Oliveira Da Silva capitalised on a midfield error before calmly slotting home after NSFC goalkeeper Muhammad Azri Ab Ghani ventured off his line in an unsuccessful attempt to stop the attack.
Star City FC doubled their advantage just a minute into the second half through import Moses Atede Jona Ataluku, who finished off a swift counter-attack in the 46th minute.
NSFC pulled one back in the 75th minute after Rafael Vitor Santos De Freitas fouled Abdul Rahman Daud inside the penalty area, with Muhammad Akhyar converting the spot-kick before striking again in stoppage time to force a 2-2 draw.
