London:SUNCUN marked its 10th anniversary by unveiling its SS2027 collection, "Wen Feng Ji Meng" ("WIND and DREAM"), at London Fashion Week. This event completes founder Zhang Turan's decade-long journey through major fashion capitals including New York, Paris, London, and Milan.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the 59-look presentation highlighted elements such as flowing silhouettes, layered construction, and contrasts between virtual and real, embodying the themes of wind and dreams in a modern wardrobe. Zhang emphasized that Eastern philosophy, rather than just style, is embedded in Eastern clothing, and this collection aims to express that philosophy through contemporary fashion without relying on traditional landscapes or symbols.
The London event also marked SUNCUN's second global product launch in the city, with plans to open a physical store as part of its expansion strategy. This move is part of SUNCUN's effort to develop a contemporary Eastern fashion system through international collaborations.
The collection's theme, "Use wind as traces, dream as messages," symbolizes global movement and life's fluidity. SUNCUN's journey began in New York in 2019 with an invitation from IMG to present at New York Fashion Week, where Zhang was noted as the youngest haute couture designer. This was followed by the "Shanhai" collection in Paris, further establishing SUNCUN's international presence.
SUNCUN later showcased its AW2024 "Kaitian" collection in London and SS2025 "Bridge" in Milan. The Milan showcase received coverage from Xinhua and Italy's national fashion chamber. The latest presentation in London demonstrates SUNCUN's commitment to expanding its fashion language beyond couture into ready-to-wear collections, supporting its ongoing international growth.
