Sun Life Malaysia Appoints Ho Teck Seng As President And Country Head


Kuala Lumpur: Sun Life Malaysia has appointed Ho Teck Seng as its new president and country head, and chief executive officer of Sun Life Malaysia Assurance Bhd, effective July 1, 2025. He will be succeeding Raymond Lew, who is set to retire on June 30, 2025.



According to BERNAMA News Agency, Sun Life Malaysia announced that Ho brings over 30 years of experience in leadership roles across various insurance institutions. His expertise includes distribution, operations, digital transformation, client experience, and financial management. The company expressed confidence in his ability to lead and grow the organization.



Prior to this appointment, Ho served as president director of Sun Life Indonesia, where he played a crucial role in expanding the company’s business growth and profitability while managing overall strategy development. Ho joined Sun Life in 2013 as the chief operating officer and was later promoted to deputy chief executive officer in 2016.



Sun Life Malaysia chairman Datuk Noorazman Abd Aziz highlighted Ho’s industry expertise and leadership skills, emphasizing that these qualities make him the ideal leader to guide the company into its next phase of growth. The board believes that under Ho’s stewardship, Sun Life Malaysia will continue to enhance its position as a trusted insurance and takaful partner, aiding Malaysians in achieving financial security and well-being.
