Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Receives Bernama-Published Coffee Table Book

Kuala lumpur: The Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, graciously received a coffee table book titled ‘Estetika Taman Nurani Masjid-Masjid Di Selangor’, which was published by the Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama). The book showcases 20 selected mosques in the state.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the 181-page book was presented by Bernama Chairman Datuk Seri Wong Chun Wai, along with Bernama Chief Executive Datin Paduka Nur-ul Afida Kamaludin and Editor-in-Chief Arul Rajoo Durar Raj. The presentation took place during an exclusive interview at a hotel.

Wong stated that the special publication was released in conjunction with Sultan Sharafuddin’s 80th birthday. He mentioned that the book features 20 mosques from Selangor, chosen from a total of 445, based on their historical significance and architectural value. The book is available in both Malay and English.

Wong highlighted on Instagram that the mosques included in the book represent more than just places of worship, emphasizing their architectural importance. He noted that the book was presented as a special gift for the Sultan’s milestone birthday.

The creation of the coffee table book was a collaborative effort between Bernama and the Department of Survey and Mapping Malaysia (JUPEM).
