Kuantan: The Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, and Tengku Ampuan Pahang, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, have extended Malaysia Day greetings to the people of Pahang and all Malaysians. In their message, they urged citizens to embrace unity, emphasizing the proverb “United we stand, divided we fall.”
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the royal couple shared their sentiments through a post on the official Kesultanan Pahang Facebook page. They encouraged Malaysians to work together toward a successful future for the country, highlighting the importance of courage and resilience. The message underscored that love for the country requires active commitment to its independence and prosperity, driven by a united and disciplined populace.
The royal message also reflected on their ‘Kembara Kenali Borneo’ journey two years prior, which they described as a significant experience that reinforced connections between the monarchy and the people of Sabah, Sarawak, and Peninsular Malaysia. They expressed hope for Malaysia’s continued peace and prosperity and called on citizens to foster goodwill and patriotism.
Additionally, Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail remarked on the significance of Malaysia Day, viewing it as a symbol of national unity and collective progress.
