Sultan Nazrin Receives Over RM5.67 Million in Zakat Contributions for ZAPAR

Kuala kangsar: The Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Shah, today received zakat contributions amounting to RM5,673,589.57 from eight corporate entities and three individuals for Zakat Perak Al-Ridzuan (ZAPAR).

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the zakat contributions were presented during a breaking of fast event held at Istana Iskandariah, attended by religious officers and imams. The event marked a significant gathering where the first zakat payment was made by Dr Ahmad Latiffi Muhammad Sidek, contributing RM120,000 in income zakat, followed by Azim Radin Mustapha Amiruddin with RM100,000.

Further contributions included business zakat from Azzizudin Sdn Bhd, represented by company secretary Norzita Rabaai, with an amount of RM496,103.57, and a significant RM751,000 from Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad, represented by its chairman Tan Sri Dr Ismail Bakar. Additionally, Ismail, in his capacity as chairman of KPJ Healthcare Berhad, presented zakat for the healthcare services provider, amounting to RM1,386,000.

BBV Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd, represented by managing director Ahmad Shafuan Arifin, contributed RM200,000, while Lumut Maritime Terminal Sdn Bhd, represented by CEO Datuk Mubarak Ali Gulam Rasul, contributed RM1,138,486. Pakeeza Restaurant and Catering, through its owner Rizal Ali Naizali, presented RM150,000, followed by Dr Nurul Haizam Yahaya, who contributed RM310,000 in income zakat.

Puncak Emas Infra Sdn Bhd, represented by CEO Mesnor Bujang, provided RM850,000 in business zakat, while Zaman Motors Sdn Bhd, represented by director Datuk Khadri Khalid, contributed RM172,000. Sultan Nazrin later handed over the zakat contributions to Tan Sri Mohd Annuar Zaini, president of the Perak Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPk).
