Sultan Nazrin and Tuanku Zara Attend Nusantara Charity Dinner Featuring M Nasir

Ipoh: The Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Shah, and the Raja Permaisuri of Perak, Tuanku Zara Salim, attended the Nusantara Charity Dinner organized by the Gunung Kledang Welfare Club (KBGK) at the Ipoh Convention Centre. The event featured a performance by the renowned artist Datuk M Nasir.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Their Royal Highnesses arrived at 8.40 pm and were welcomed by Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad and his wife, Datin Seri Aezer Zubir. Joined by approximately 1,400 guests, the royal couple enjoyed M Nasir’s live performance, which included seven songs such as Mentera Semerah Padi and Satu Hari Di Hari Raya.

The event saw KBGK presenting donations totaling RM150,000 to 10 recipients, including welfare homes, tahfiz schools, and associations. Beneficiaries included Rumah Anak Yatim Cahaya Kasih Abie and the Orang Asli Education Centre of Kampung Lalang.

Norali Nordin, the charity dinner chairman, announced that RM700,000 was raised through the sale of 140 tables. KBGK President Muhammad Hamzah Md Hamdan emphasized that the club’s 2025 agenda aligns with the Perak state government’s Perak Sejahtera 2030 plan, particularly in promoting Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).

He stated that the club is committed to supporting the state government’s efforts by raising awareness among Perak parents about TVET programs, hoping that the members’ expertise will contribute meaningfully to these initiatives.
