Sultan Muhammad V: Strengthen Noble Values To Withstand Globalisation Challenges

Kota bharu: The Sultan of Kelantan, Sultan Muhammad V, has expressed concern over society’s exposure to global and social media influences that sometimes lead to misunderstandings and division. His Royal Highness called for continued efforts to instil and strengthen the values of courtesy, mutual respect, and proper etiquette in speech.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Sultan Muhammad V emphasized the importance of these values to ensure that society, particularly the younger generation, remains steadfast in upholding cultural values despite the challenges of globalisation. He made these remarks in his royal address at the investiture ceremony in conjunction with his 56th birthday at Istana Balai Besar.

Sultan Muhammad V also noted the positive progress in preparation for the Malaysia Games 2028, with the construction of the Bukit Merbau Sports Complex actively underway. He highlighted the need for attention to traffic flow management and safety in the area and urged the federal government to expedite road infrastructure leading to the complex, including the Kota Bharu-Kuala Krai Highway and Lingkaran Tengah Utama Expressway.

His Royal Highness expressed appreciation to the state government and civil servants for their contributions to Kelantan’s progress and harmony. He called upon the people to pray for lasting prosperity and peace in the state.

Additionally, Sultan Muhammad V encouraged leveraging Kelantan’s strength as a major agricultural and livestock producer to position it as the nation’s primary food producer and strengthen food security. He emphasized the potential in downstream product development and welcomed initiatives under the 13th Malaysia Plan for Kelantan, including the development of a blue economy hub and the upgrading of various infrastructures.
