Shanghai: His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council, visited the Huawei Research and Development Centre and Shanghai Media Group (SMG) in Shanghai, People's Republic of China.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, His Highness toured Huawei Village, an expansive area covering 2.2 million square metres. The village consists of over 100 buildings and laboratories and employs more than 30,000 staff. During his visit, he observed the master plan of the village and its essential facilities, which are integral to the company's business strategy and product development.

He reviewed the specifications of the buildings, which are constructed to high standards, and examined the range of services provided to employees. These include restaurants, cafes, entertainment venues, and rest areas. The center is also accessible via various modes of transport, including train, bus, boat, or electric bicycle.
