Rizhao: On August 9, 2025, a Chinese commercial aerospace company Geespace successfully completed the fourth orbital deployment of GEESATCOM, known as Geely Constellation, by launching 11 satellites from waters off Rizhao, Shandong Province, aboard a single rocket. All satellites entered their planned orbits and are operating normally.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, GEESATCOM, independently developed and operated by Geespace, facilitates satellite IoT testing and inter-satellite communications. These capabilities are crucial for applications in various sectors, including intelligent connected vehicles, marine fisheries, construction machinery, and low-altitude mobility. The deployment also enhances emergency communications, transportation, logistics, and public infrastructure. Additionally, it supports sectors like energy, water conservancy, agriculture, forestry, and animal husbandry by enabling Earth observation for ecological and environmental monitoring.
