Student Stabbing in Petaling Jaya: School Administrators Reassigned Amid Investigation

Petaling jaya: The administrators of a secondary school in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, associated with the death of a 16-year-old student, have been reassigned to the District Education Office (PPD) pending an investigation, stated Education director-general Dr Mohd Azam Ahmad. The ministry is arranging the transfer to ensure the continuation of the school’s teaching and learning activities without any disruptions.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Dr Mohd Azam Ahmad emphasized the urgency of the investigation, stating, “We will act swiftly as the investigation must proceed without delay,” during a press conference. To address the situation, the ministry has dispatched counsellors and guidance teachers to offer psychosocial support to students, staff, and the school community. Dr Mohd Azam also reassured parents and the public that appropriate measures have been implemented.

The incident took place around 9.30 am when a Form Four female student was allegedly stabbed by a male student at the school. Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Khalid Ismail confirmed that the victim died at the scene within the school compound. The 14-year-old suspect, who is from the same school, has been arrested.
