Kuala lumpur: A student at a MARA Junior Science College (MRSM) has been identified in connection with a bullying incident where another student's clothes were cut and damaged, revealed Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) chairman Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki. He stated that the MRSM management had submitted a report on the incident and that investigations had been expedited.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the victim's family has lodged a report, and the perpetrator has been identified. After Majlis Amanah Rakyat's chairman raised the matter on social media, the management promptly submitted its report. However, there were issues that were not initially communicated to him by the MRSM management. He emphasized the importance of addressing every issue seriously.
Dr. Asyraf Wajdi mentioned that the involved student might face expulsion from MRSM, depending on the case's severity, as bullying can involve not only physical acts but also psychological harm that affects the victim. Recently, a media report highlighted that a Threads user shared images of her younger sibling's torn and damaged clothing, believed to be a result of bullying.
The online post prompted a response from Asyraf Wajdi, who underscored that there would be no compromise on any form of bullying in institutions under MARA and that firm action would be taken against those involved.
