Kuala lumpur: A stable state government is crucial to ensuring that development plans in Sabah can be implemented effectively, says Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate for the Sungai Manila state seat, Zaini Tiksun. He said the state government formed after the 17th Sabah State Election must be strong, not merely reliant on a simple majority, to ensure Sabah can be governed in a more organised and strategic manner.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Zaini emphasized that only with a strong mandate can BN implement the various agendas planned for the benefit of the people, especially in the Sungai Manila constituency. Despite being a new face candidate, Zaini has a long history of service in the area as the Libaran Parliamentary Relations head and is regularly on the ground addressing the issues faced by the people.
Zaini stated, “We listen to every complaint and concern from residents. Based on my service record since 2022, I am confident that the people of Sungai Manila will continue to choose BN, which has proven its ability to bring development to this area.” The retired teacher and former assistant engineer highlighted BN’s consistent role in driving continuous development while prioritizing the welfare of people at all levels.
He further added the importance of alignment between the state and federal governments to ensure that development allocations can be channelled to Sabah more smoothly and consistently. The Election Commission (EC) has set November 29 as polling day for the 17th Sabah State Election, with nominations on November 15 and early voting scheduled for November 25.
