Jeddah: The strong strategic partnership between Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) with Saudi-based company, Mashariq Holdings (Mashariq) has once again proven to be an essential pillar in ensuring the smooth execution of this season’s Haj operations for Malaysian pilgrims.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, this is a continuation of a three-decade cooperation between TH and Mashariq, which is tasked with providing essential facilities and services for Malaysian pilgrims, particularly in Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina during the culmination of the haj pilgrimage.
Head of the Malaysian Haj Delegation, Mohd Hisham Harun, emphasized that mutual respect and shared responsibility between both parties were key to delivering the highest standard of care and support to the pilgrims. He highlighted the importance of adhering to the timeline set by the Saudi Ministry of Haj and working closely with Mashariq to ensure everything was implemented according to schedule, particularly in securing the sites in Arafah and Mina.
Hisham expressed gratitude for the opportunity to select the site for Malaysian pilgrims, a privilege granted as a result of last year’s success in being awarded the Labaytum Award for excellence in haj pilgrim service. He noted that with Mashariq’s cooperation, they managed to secure a location that has been used over the past few years.
The official event symbolizing the joint partnership between TH and Mashariq, attended by Mashariq chairman Ali Hussein Al Bundugi, its deputy chairman Mahmoud Damanhouri, and chief executive officer Waleed Mohammed Rashidi, was aimed at setting the tone for the upcoming haj season.
Hisham urged all personnel involved to remain vigilant, anticipate challenges, and continue meticulous planning to ensure the comfort, safety, and welfare of pilgrims throughout their spiritual journey. He expressed appreciation for Mashariq’s warm collaboration, continuous support, and shared values, and looked forward to further strengthening this vital partnership.
Concluding, Hisham expressed hope that both parties would continue to nurture and prioritize their good relationships, aiming to make this year’s haj operation not just successful but memorable for all the right reasons.
