Kuala lumpur: A total of 23 disciplinary investigation papers were opened by the Southeast Brigade of the General Operations Force (GOF) throughout 2024. Its Acting Commander ACP Ijid Landu Binju stated that up to last month, 20 cases had been recorded, involving offences such as drug abuse, absenteeism, leaving duty without permission, and failure to declare assets.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, disciplinary action was taken in accordance with the Public Officers (Conduct and Discipline) Regulations 1993, with punishments ranging from a warning to dismissal, depending on the severity of the offence. The number of investigation papers opened demonstrates the GOF’s continued commitment to ensuring every member of the force complies with the law and upholds public confidence in the security forces.

He added that the disciplinary offences recorded during the period did not involve investigations by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
