Kuala lumpur: The Sumud Nusantara Command Centre (SNCC) has confirmed that all 10 vessels involved in the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) 2.0 mission have been intercepted by Israeli forces as of 8.25 pm Malaysian time. The SNCC reported that the latest intercepted vessel, Alcyone, was carrying two Malaysians, identified as Muhammad Hareez Adzrami and Chin Shiau Weai. The SNCC has stated that further developments will be officially announced, with a press conference scheduled for tomorrow.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) has received confirmation that hundreds of civilian participants, abducted during what they describe as an illegal Israeli naval assault, are being transported by Israeli forces to a port in occupied Palestine. The participants reportedly include doctors, journalists, and human rights defenders from over 40 nations. The naval vessel carrying the participants is expected to dock within approximately two hours.
The GSF has demanded the immediate and unconditional release of all participants and more than 9,000 Palestinian political prisoners. They are calling on world leaders to demand the release of the flotilla participants, Palestinian political prisoners, and hostages. The GSF also calls for an end to the blockade on Gaza.
The organization has expressed concerns over the safety and well-being of those detained, citing testimonies from an alleged illegal abduction on April 29. These testimonies detail patterns of torture, severe physical abuse, and invasive sexual violence allegedly perpetrated by Israeli forces.
