Smooth BUDI95 Rollout In N. Sembilan, Operators Ensure Convenient Transactions

Kuala lumpur: The implementation of the BUDI MADANI RON95 (BUDI95) initiative in Negeri Sembilan is going smoothly, with the public expressing satisfaction over the readiness of petrol station operators in facilitating transactions. State Entrepreneurship, Human Resources, Climate Change, Cooperatives and Consumerism Committee chairman S. Veerapan said no complaints had been received so far over the implementation of the initiative.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Veerapan stated, “So far, everything has been going smoothly, with no complaints of system downtime reported. The operators have also done well in implementing the initiative, enabling the public to benefit from the BUDI95 incentive conveniently at all petrol stations. We carry out regular monitoring of petrol stations statewide to ensure the smooth implementation of the programme.”

Meanwhile, a petrol station manager in Mambau, Along Kidir, 55, highlighted that they underwent a week-long online training to familiarize themselves with the system, including payment processes. He mentioned, “Alhamdulillah, so far there have been no major problems, except that the system tends to slow down during payments when there are too many users, but that only lasts for a short while.” Along has over 30 years of experience in the petroleum business.

Private sector worker Adira Abdul Malek, 31, who commutes daily between Seremban and Port Dickson, shared her experience, stating that she did not face any problems when refueling or checking her eligible subsidy balance, as it could be done conveniently at the pump rather than at the counter. She noted, “It’s very easy to use even though it’s new. I haven’t faced any problems. This is a good initiative as it helps reduce my petrol expenses. It may seem small, but over a month, it makes a big difference. A full tank usually lasts me a week.”

The BUDI95 initiative has been implemented in stages since Sept 27, beginning with 300,000 members of the Malaysian Armed Forces and the Royal Malaysia Police, before being expanded to more than five million Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) recipients in the B40 category on Sept 28, and subsequently to 16 million eligible Malaysians on Sept 30. Malaysians aged 16 and above with a MyKad and a valid driving licence are eligible for the RON95 petrol subsidy at RM1.99 per litre, with an eligibility limit of up to 300 litres per month.
