Bandar tun razak: Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Seri Mulia here has received RM300,000 under the Bandar Tun Razak parliamentary allocation for facility upgrades and measures to enhance student safety.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Bandar Tun Razak Member of Parliament Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail stated that the allocation would enable maintenance and upgrading works to be carried out at the school. Priority will be given to improving students' safety and well-being, including the installation of safety grills, which required additional costs.

Dr Wan Azizah emphasized the importance of student safety and mental health, highlighting the need for safety grills, which have been approved for installation. She made these remarks to reporters after officiating the SMK Seri Mulia Academic Excellence Awards ceremony.

Dr Wan Azizah, who is also the wife of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, noted that the school had not undergone comprehensive upgrading for 23 years and deserved attention and assistance to improve its facilities.

Also in attendance at the ceremony were Prime Minister's political secretary Datuk Azman Abidin and Kuala Lumpur Federal Territory Education Department School Management Sector deputy director Aziah Amir. The Academic Excellence Awards ceremony was held to recognise students' efforts, discipline, and commitment to academic success, while encouraging them to continue striving for excellence.
