SMEs Development Authority Opens Future Leaders Camp 2026 in Al Buraimi

Muscat: Acting in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (Riyada) today launched a week-long student entrepreneurial training and innovation programme titled 'Future Leaders Camp 2026'. The camp, opened at Al Buraimi Centre for Sciences and Innovation, is being attended by 70 school students of classes 7, 8 and 9.

According to Oman News Agency, the camp aims to foster a culture of innovative thinking and entrepreneurship in students and provide them with basic knowledge to convert their business ideas into real-world projects.

The programme comprises 5 integrated training modules, the first of which focuses on generating ideas and developing them into prototypes using artificial intelligence (AI) applications. The students will draft presentations about the envisaged projects and showcase their projects before a jury.

The programme constitutes a link in ongoing efforts made by Riyada in cooperation with the Ministry of Education to spread the culture of entrepreneurship and innovation among young people, hone their skills and prepare them to contribute to building a knowledge-based future and a diversified national economy.
