Kuala lumpur: Small Medium Enterprise Development Bank Malaysia Berhad ('SME Bank' or 'the Bank'), a subsidiary of Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Berhad ('BPMB') Group, today announced the appointment of Zulkiflee Hashim as Chairman of SME Bank, effective 6 March 2026.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Zulkiflee was first appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director of SME Bank on 6 March 2019. During his tenure, he contributed to strengthening the Bank's governance and providing strategic oversight in support of its developmental mandate.
