Guiyang: Since the 14th Five-Year-Plan, guided by the strategy of “Upgrading Industry for City Booming”, Guiyang has been making intelligent manufacturing the core engine of high-quality economic development.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, data from the Guiyang Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology shows that in 2024, the industrial sector contributed 31.1% to economic growth, with an average annual increase of 7.5% in the value-added output of above-scale industries. Among these, Guanshanhu District and Qingzhen City have formed a “Dual-Wheel Drive” model – Guanshanhu has established an industrial highland in new energy vehicles and digital factories, while Qingzhen has transformed traditional industries through aluminum-based new materials and green manufacturing. Both are collectively advancing Guiyang’s journey in intelligent manufacturing.
Guanshanhu District is focusing on a dual-core approach driven by new energy and the digital economy, aiming to build a billion-dollar industrial cluster. The district has positioned itself as a leader in new energy vehicles and digital factories, creating a robust industrial base that supports Guiyang’s overall economic framework. This strategic positioning is crucial for the district’s long-term vision of becoming an industrial powerhouse.
Conversely, Qingzhen City is leveraging its expertise in aluminum-based new materials to drive green manufacturing. The transformation of traditional industries in Qingzhen aligns with Guiyang’s broader goals of sustainable development and eco-friendly practices. By focusing on green manufacturing, Qingzhen is not only enhancing its industrial capabilities but also contributing to the city’s environmental objectives.
These collaborative efforts between Guanshanhu and Qingzhen are pivotal in Guiyang’s mission to become a leader in intelligent manufacturing. The “Dual-Wheel Drive” strategy showcases the potential for regional cooperation in fostering economic growth and industrial innovation in the region.
