Bentong: Six men were killed after the car they were travelling in collided with a one-tonne lorry on Jalan Karak Lama heading towards Temerloh, near Klinik Desa Jambu Rias in Bentong early this morning.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Pahang Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) assistant director of operations Mohd Salahuddin Isa reported that the department received an emergency call about the accident at 4.24 am. Following this, a team from the Karak Fire and Rescue station was dispatched to the scene.

The six men travelling in the Toyota Vios were found trapped inside the vehicle and were pronounced dead at the scene by Ministry of Health (MOH) personnel.

The one-tonne lorry driver sustained injuries and was taken to the hospital by an MOH ambulance for treatment. The bodies of the six victims were later handed over to the police for further action, while the injured victim was placed in the care of the MOH.
