Singapore: Singapore Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong ended his Terengganu visit today at a dinner hosted to mark the trip. Lee and his wife, Ho Ching, were accompanied by Terengganu Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar and his wife, Toh Puan Seri Tuan Faezah at the dinner held at Elysium Hall of the Terengganu Drawbridge.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, shortly after arriving at 8.15 pm, the Singapore delegation was welcomed by a flotilla of 40 fishing boats adorned with colorful lights at the Sungai Terengganu estuary. Following the dinner, the delegates witnessed the iconic bascule bridge swing open, demonstrating its mechanism as large vessels navigated through the estuary.
Among the Singapore delegates present were Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Social Development and Family, Zhulkarnain Abdul Rahim, and Minister for Law and Second Minister for Home Affairs, Edwin Tong. The delegation also included Singapore MP Joan Pereira, High Commissioner to Malaysia Vanu Gopala Menon, and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Terengganu state officials, including state secretary Datuk Mohd Azmi Mohamad Daham, state executive councillors, and department heads, were present to greet the Singapore delegation. Lee's visit to Terengganu was part of a five-day tour that began on Monday, which also included a visit to Pahang.
