Kuala lumpur: Sin-Kung Logistics (SKL) Bhd has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) to strengthen cooperation in air connectivity and cargo development.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, AAHK is a statutory body responsible for the operation and development of Hong Kong International Airport. In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, SKL said the partnership aims to strengthen cooperation in air connectivity and cargo development across Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, and beyond.
The agreement outlines that both parties will leverage their respective strengths to develop multimodal solutions and initiatives to expand the catchment area. They may also explore long-term opportunities to streamline operations and improve efficiency through digitalisation.
SKL indicated that the MoU is effective from the date of execution and will remain valid for two years unless terminated earlier by either party by providing the other party with at least 30 days' prior written notice.
The MoU establishes a mutual understanding of SKL and AAHK's respective strategies and business needs, fostering a broader understanding of the benefits and opportunities arising from the collaboration. This will be achieved while leveraging each party's expertise and capabilities.
SKL further noted that the MoU is not subject to the approval of shareholders or any other relevant authorities and is not conditional upon any other corporate exercise undertaken by the company.
