Shah alam: The Selangor Triple Accelerator Programme 2026 Showcase, held from Aug 18 to 20, provided 90 startups with a platform for live pitching, product showcases, and industry engagement, enabling them to build, refine, and strengthen their businesses.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the event was organized by the Selangor Information Technology and Digital Economy Corporation (Sidec) and featured three accelerator tracks: Deep-X, Retail-X, and Token-X. Participants pitched their businesses and showcased their innovations to panels of industry experts and ecosystem leaders.
The event brought together startups from various sectors, including Web3, blockchain, fintech, artificial intelligence, healthtech, agritech, retail, e-commerce, and consumer technology. A statement from the organisers indicated that the top eight finalists from each track will be announced in mid-September 2026. These finalists will advance to the Grand Final Demo Day at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre on Oct 14, 2026, with 24 finalists competing for top honors.
A total of 12 winners across the three programmes will be recognized, each receiving an international trip, access to investment and networking opportunities, as well as a trophy and certificate. The champion of each track will also receive an additional RM20,000 cash prize as recognition of their achievements and potential.
Meanwhile, Sidec chief executive officer Yong Kai Ping commented on the event's role in providing startups with a platform to showcase their businesses and engage with the entrepreneurial ecosystem. "At Sidec, we believe our role goes beyond supporting startups - it is about creating platforms, connections, and opportunities that help founders move forward. We are proud to be part of their journey as they take their ventures to the next level," he added.
