Selangor: The Selangor Information Technology and Digital Economy Corporation (SIDEC) is targeting to attract 30 companies from five key sectors to participate in its Retail-X programme.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the latest edition of the state’s flagship programme offers rewards and support worth up to RM300,000 to high-potential business-to-consumer (B2C) retail small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Malaysia. The targeted sectors include Fashion and Lifestyle; Health, Beauty and Wellness; Food and Beverages; Home and Home Appliances; and Social and Community Impact Brands.
Applications for the programme are open until June 27, 2025. The 12-week initiative is designed to drive the digital transformation of retail businesses by providing intensive training in areas such as artificial intelligence (AI)-driven marketing, smart inventory management, omnichannel strategies, and enhancing customer experience. Participants in the programme will benefit from direct mentorship from industry experts, including representatives from leading companies such as AEON, RHL Ventures, Carsome, Shopline, Signature Market, Mystartr, Ata Plus, F and N, and The Lego Group.
SIDEC has also announced that the programme will culminate in a Final Demo Day. On this day, the top 20 participants will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas and business models to investors, industry leaders, and strategic partners. The top 10 participants will be awarded prizes worth RM50,000 in total, which include cash, trophies, investment opportunities, and exclusive innovation visits.
