SIAD to Provide 3,500 MTPD Air Separation Unit for Pacifico Mexinol Project

Sinaloa: SIAD Americas LLC announced today that SIAD has been selected to provide an air separation unit (ASU) for the Pacifico Mexinol ultra-low carbon methanol project in Sinaloa, Mexico. The project will be spearheaded by SIAD Macchine Impianti and will utilize SIAD’s global execution model, with engineering support from its centers in Bergamo, Italy; The Woodlands, Texas; and Hangzhou, China. Equipment for the project will be sourced from the United States, China, and Europe, and fabrication will take place at SIAD facilities in Hangzhou, China and at the new facility in Porto Marghera (Venice), Italy.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the ASU will have a production capacity of approximately 3,500 metric tons per day (MTPD) of high-purity oxygen. This capacity is crucial for the production of ultra-low carbon methanol, as it will supply the large volumes of oxygen needed for the project’s gasification and carbon capture processes.
