Kuala lumpur: The Selangor Menteri Besar’s Office: has denied allegations about the wealth of an officer to Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari, who was accused of holding too many positions under the state government, describing the claims as malicious and politically motivated.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the office stated that the accusations, which went viral through a new WhatsApp group while Amirudin was tabling the Selangor Budget 2026, were baseless. The statement emphasized that the claims were slanderous, misleading, and not factual. It further mentioned that the officer concerned would lodge a report with the authorities as a sign of accountability.
The office also called on all parties to focus on the state’s development agenda and the welfare of the people, rather than engaging in immature politics through the creation of malicious, wild, and false perceptions. Earlier, the media reported that Amirudin had been asked to comment on allegations of unexplained wealth involving the officer, who was claimed to be holding too many positions in the state government.
